More Era Showstoppers at CIH

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Exhibition, that took place at the Harrogate International Centre in June, provided another opportunity for ERA, ‘The Door Lock People’, to showcase their expanding product range. And visitors were not disappointed as the ERA stand was jam-packed with new products.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the Locca, the remote access control system that is particularly suited to the Social Housing market and which has been designed with the DDA in mind.

The new Repair Lock also attracted a lot of attention, because it meets the growing demand for a standard replacement lock in the Multi-Point Lock sector, and is an easy-fit solution for most PVCu doors. Demand for the demonstration CD was amazing.

The Door Restrictor with Key Access for multi point locks allows the door to be opened slightly to check the caller’s identity without giving full access. This product was of special interest because it’s ideal for the elderly as it can be disengaged with a key from outside in case emergency access is required.

ERA also showed two new ranges of locks that meet the new British Standard (BS3621:2004), which came into effect this year. The British Standard High Security Fortress range of mortice locks and the British Standard Nightlatch also boast Secured by Design accreditation
