ERA, ‘The Door Lock People’, got a warm reception for their new products at this year’s NMBS show. The High Security Fortress Mortice Lock, the Repair Lock and the Replacement Front Door Lock all generated a lot of excitement amongst visitors. The new High Security Fortress Mortice Lock meets the important new European and British standards for external door locks that came into effect at the start of 2006. As well as compliance with both the European Standard (BS EN 12209) and the new British Standard (BS3621:2004), the Fortress range also has Secured by Design accreditation. Developed to satisfy the growing demand for a standard replacement lock in the Multi-Point Lock sector, ERA’s Repair Lock is an easy-to-fit solution for PVCu doors. The Repair Lock demonstration CD, available at the show, proved very popular. Lastly, the recently launched Replacement Front Door Lock, which has been designed with a larger footprint that minimises the need for redecoration. Its dual-functionality, which offers both a deadlocking or non-deadlocking facility, attracted many positive reviews.
