The new High Security Fortress Lock range is the very latest mortice lock from the UK’s leading mortice lock manufacturer. The new range has been launched to meet the important new European and British standards for external door locks that came into effect at the start of 2006. The entire range is available in sashlock and deadlock and consists of the Fortress 5 Lever Mortice Lock and coming soon the Fortress Euro Lock and the Fortress Oval Lock. Installation couldn’t be easier with all models coming complete with full fitting instructions. Protection from intruders comes from hardened steel plates that resist drilling and four hardened steel rollers in the deadbolt that are a solid defence against hacksawing. Added security comes from a longer, 20mm bolt throw, one of the changes brought in by the new standards. A new reversible
pull and twist action on the latch bolt makes the locks suitable for
both left and right hand opening doors and the locks are designed to
suit both sprung and un-sprung door furniture. The Fortress range rebates
come in 2 sizes: 12.7mm and 25.4mm and are available in brass, satin
or chrome finishes.
